Client Need:
Manufacturer experienced customer complaints of parts wearing out early, caused by one or more missing roller bearings.

Our Solution:
A vision system with advanced digital image filtering was inserted into the production stream and detected defects before the part proceeded to final assembly.

The Result:
This defect was eliminated from the production stream. The reliability of the part (MTBF) increased significantly. Because the defect was detectable prior to final assembly, the manufacturer significantly reduced scrap material as well.
